English must confuse the crap out of other people with all of our grammar, homophones, and capitalization. I'm learning Japanese and it takes a much more straightforeward aproach. One character = one sound

Also, have you gotten to kanji yet, because that is a whole different kind of grammar.

No, I haven't started learning Kanji yet but i've read a lot about it. I have to motivate myself to finish learning Katakana before I can start on Kanji.
