Raichu has less bulk than Pachirisu though. Raichu's Lightningrod is better suited towards offense while Pachirisu's Volt Absorb keeps it alive longer.

60/70/90 as opposed to Raichu's 60/55/80. Raichu won't be takin' physical moves regardless, but 10 less base Sp.D in exchange for much higher speed, proper offensive presence and Fake Out as opposed to Follow Me means Raichu is essentially an offensive Pachi.

Raichu also has access to Encore; a speedy one at that. Ain't no Whimsicott, but it's still a grand support move.

Also, does Lightningrod negate your own Electric-type moves?

Yep. Doesn't negate Discharge's spread though. If only SurfChu could have Lightning Rod... dat lanturn raichu synergy
