I'm guessing it gives a description of each Pikmin.

Edit:
Guess they've updated the U.S site now.

Woah, it seems it will take quite a bit of practice to be very good with Olimar. He is a neat character indeed!

Indeed aswell! And that last screen shot also showed his alternat costume colors.

It seems you would have to know his moves very well and shouldn't be chosen by a noob to be played as, if so, they will lose IMO with those special moves.

That's something, how if you're knocked off, the only way to get back up is to use Pikmin. Maybe he'll be more fun than he initially looked.

Wow.. O.O I think I'm going to master Olimar first..his play style is just awesome. Very complex and strategic. Different properties per pikmin..

I could see certain types of pikmin doing more or less damage depending upon the character you face.

example: So let's say you're fighting Pokemon trainer, and he's using ivysaur. You would most likely want a red tiles stage so you get more red pikmin (I'm just guessing that may be how the pikmin selection works)..since they are imbued with fire properties they would do extra damage against Ivysuar, thus giving you an advantage.

See? The strategic possibilities involving him are more complex than any other character to date.

Sakurai you are a genius good sir.

OK, see THIS update kinda makes me want to use Olimar but I still want to roundhouse kick the little bugger into the sun.
So, differant Pickmin do differant calculations when thrown? Understandably standard, and sorta unique but does he do anything himself? If your Pickmin die, then you're screwed.

And while doing that, your oponent is busy either wailing on you or setting up a final smash...>_>
Sorry but IMO, Olimar is outdone by even the stupidass Pokemon trainer at this point HOWEVER, since we havnt seen everything I still have an open mind for it...

Fantastic! :D I thought this would be his moveset, and I'm releived to see it looking as good as it does. Very Creative.

Oh, and Olimar isn't completely useless without the pikmin. Sure, he cant do special moves and smash attacks, but he can probably still do the basic punch/kick moves, and puling pikmin out of the ground is really fast, prolly. So, yeah, color me an Olimar Supporter :p

Agreed. Olimar won't be totally useless without pikmin, just severely handicapped. He can't do smash attacks, but that doesn't say anything about regular attacks, so those are still fair game.

And I'm sure the whole yanking pikmin out of the ground process is very fast. It has to be since they are so vital to olimar as a source of power so to speak.

I think I found myself a new favorite character.

ZOMFG itd get crowded with 4 players using Olimar, plus items on screen.
Looks like he could be fun to play with, but he definately wouldnt become my no.1
