The Post-Game Thread (now with moar games!)

I'm enjoying XIII-2. They've fixed most of the problems plaguing the first game. Story isn't good, but the time travel mechanics seem interesting. Areas are more open, battles don't drag on anymore, and there's even a monster training system for using them in battles as a party member.

I'm playing it, but I'm no good at it. Different from what I can recall.
Still on 2* missions, using base weapons with a Lv4 Palicoe.
I need a guide.

git gud
Don't get hit, hit it 'til it dies. Play it like a turn based game: land a hit or two, then dodge the monster's attack. Repeat. Upgrade your weapon when available. Try different weapons to see which one resonates better with you. Dodge (or block) attacks, don't try tanking hits. Avoid French players.

That bad? Have you configured internet settings, etc? I do for all my stuff. Really does help, as before there was no way I would play most games online without. Wired is the way to go. At least you didn't drop out of the match.
Nintendo's netcode has been getting better, and surely the NX will improve further.
What do you mean? Is there something I can configure to change it?

It's hard, I'm trying
That's a bit too obvious. Tried using the Charge Blade (it's okay), Dual, and Lance but it just doesn't work out. I need a median weapon. Moderately fast, decently powerful. Don't know how upgrades work/if I can test and change upgrade trees later or start over. What's wrong with the French? Been online a few times, most people hate me. lol IDK what I'm doing, okay.

These are common problems for most devices, especially online gaming as of late. People who don't know about/understand it probably need it the most.
Have you give na static IP address to the console? Put the Wii U in DMZ? Forward Nintendo Ports (TCP and UDP)? Depending on your router/service provider it may be more or less doable. Try a wired connection (with static IP), I've lost mine and realize it does help compared to wireless.

For me; all I've done is given it a static IP address (far away from other devices already assigned), and use a proxy (my laptop has to be on for me to play online), the other things could possibly help more but I've no need of it.

Anyone play Splatoon demo? I haven't.

All charcaters unlocked in Marvel vs Capcom 2

Messing about with what I have on my PS2 HDD, ITS QUITE A LOT!!
Also got a load of "Wiiank" videos on my YT
BARRELS ARE BEING SCRAPED!!!

Really liking the Hunting Horn in MH4. I looked at the upgrade tree and holy hell, there's so many (for every weapon). I guess I'll stick with the default weapon until I learn which one has better songs. Attack Up / Infi Stamina seems good. Also heard something about Maestro geming? I have no clue.

Now armor... I'm completely lost.

Won a group Smash Tourny. Got a free Sheik Amiibo. Awesome!
I feel like they let me win though.

Once again playing Morrowind. Never gave archery a chance before and I'm loving it at the moment.

Gonna finish up all the lower rank quests before tackling the final G quests with C fatty and such.

so kanon

I kind of tried this one day, but gave up. I don't know my router's IP address (can't find it anywhere), so how would I set up static IP?

I have no idea what the rest of that is.
Proxy doesn't seem to be an option.

And don't wired connections stop everyone else from using the Wi-Fi while the Wii U has access to it? I can't do that.

Streamed me playing some of my back catalog last night
SOUND MESSED UP!!
I aint playin the likes of Lassie, Babe, Hugo Busomething, Robin hood the siege (NOT ALLOWED TO USE HIS BOW) again

But Wipeout pulse on the other hand is sooooo good

Playing through Morrowind's Tribunal expansion for the first time. Haven't touched any other game for a couple of weeks now. I'm surprised I'm not getting bored of it unlike everything else.

How do you do the online configuration thing you were talking about?

I asked you a few pages back but I'm too lazy to find it.

Trying my hand at using the TES construction set. I figure it's about time I get into making mods. Using this on Oblivion, as it has a larger archive of mods than Skyrim yet has more fancy stuff than Morrowind. Edited some armor files so people would stop wearing daedric/bound helmets sideways. I also managed to add a custom voice set to a custom race. Currently trying to create my own custom voice set from whatever sound files I can extract from certain games. It's much tougher to get this working than what I expected.

Nevermind, I just had to use audacity and downgrade the quality to the right specifications. Works like a charm now. I don't mind the half-assed lip sync, as it only affects the player character.
