Project M Discussion Thread

Yeah, GGs. Not bad, save the Random stages. Glad to see Dracula's Castle works on your end.

My Jigglypuff ****ing sucks ass.

Unless it's some sort of really serious match, I much prefer using a variety of stages as opposed to a few "fair" ones. Gets stale faster.

Ty Ty, but a solid fox is the scariest thing to see in a match ): I'm still recovering from traumatization

I'm worse than I remember, heh.

There's nothin' for you to remember, you're **** 'cause ya don't play P:M enough.

PLAY PM MOAR FAGGOT

And even then, I can't remember the last time I've legitimately counterpicked.

smashfest

The hell's a Smashfest?

Depends on the game. In Melee or P:M, quite obviously. In vBrawl, lolno.

... 'Less you're like me and have never played a good Fox. The only thing worse than a godlike player who uses top tier characters, is a godlike player who uses someone ya have no idea how t' play against. still h8 ur lolimar princelink

Oh smashfest? its where the smash community in your area get together and play Melee or Project M somewhere like a host's house or venue. They're like mini local tourneys to see where you stand skill-wise. I mean otherwise I'm stuck playing my siblings or lvl 9s and ill never improve :p

Also Fox's are pretty straight forward...just so fking fast. I can beat fast foxes but, man, this dude had tech skill I've only seen in videos and he was always at least 2 steps ahead of me.

My Melee knowledge is limited, so I wouldn't know if one could describe a pro Fox as straightforward.

That aside, congratulations on placin'. Has your Smash community raised any notable players?

Minnesota has a pretty small smash community. The only one I think that participated in bigger tournaments is FluxWolf. But sad to say not many even try to enter. We just play and improve and it's all around fun. You should look for a smash community where you are at smashboards. Well worth going to.

Oh lame. Smashboards is down I forgot :/

I live in the middle'a nowhere, hours away from the nearest-anythin'. Sadly takin' part in any sort'a IRL community ain't an option for me. I used t' shoot the breeze at Smash tourneys back when I lived in the Big Apple, but I wasn't competitive in those days. Never participated... 'less I was given free entry for a slot that needed fillin'. I was only tourneyfodder after all lol. The worst players in attendance could sweep me no problem.

I have fought a good vBrawl fox before. It was no Meta Knight but he pulled some moves out that I never knew fox can do. But that was a long time ago.
