Wow that was surprising (for me at least) And now im really happy . I think that these are going to be the characters you get at beginning, then there will proabably be like 6 unlockable characters.

Anyone else notice that the character's name is officially 'Pikmin and Olimar' [Rather than Cpt. Olimar, or Olimar and Pikmin]. I found this quite interesting. Do you think his name in the game [on the character select screen] will be 'Olimar' or 'Pikmin'?

BUT ANYWAY, I noticed this because I'm picky like that, but only because I was wondering why Pikmin get a title and Pokemon don't... That'd be incredibly long, but, yeah... I have no idea either.

I really wonder how olimnar's move set will work...

It's been brought up a number of times... I thought he should have been an assist, but, yeah, he's the only real character from that franchise.

He seems like such a gimmick, I was thinking assist trophy for sure, but you never know his move sets could be quite interesting.
And his Final Smash? I hope the Pikmin each carry one other character off the screen to their death. (Meanwhile killing themselves, and rendering Olimar pretty much useless).

considering there will probably be all the ones from melee, i am sure there will be more than 6. there had better be some newcomer unlockables too!

I bet depending on which pikmin Olimar uses to hit an opponent it will cause different damage and effects considering the white and purple pikmin. The white pikmin could act sorta like a lip's stick because they are poisonous and purple pikmin are swung slower but cause lots of damage and knockback

Funny, on the old Nintendo boards, I made a thread about Olimar's chances! But I also made one about Nook... Hm. We'll see!
