how will the wii controller cope with the many moves of ssbb?
Your probably going to use the other 1 that it brings .The 1 with out the romeote controll looking 1.Because it will bring 2 controllers ,the romote controller looking 1 and the 1 with the 2 joy sticks in the bottom of that other controller. :yesnod:

though i'm not sure about the way the vc controller is set out (two joysticks?) no z button? i will probably use gc more

____________
wii fund AU$520

aw man they shoulda tried harder to figure out a way to do that

but i guess **** it ill be used to the old one

but i guess that means same moves basically

I think the Wii-Mote MUST be supported. The main reason i want a Wii is because of SSB:Brawl, and the main reason i want SSB:Brawl is because of the Wii's controller, i mean god damn that's gonna be fun if the game supports the motion sensors :D :D :D

Now Don't get me wrong, i think the game should have support for GC and Wii Classic controllers aswell but not adding support for the Wii would be a financial deathwish, it means those of us who are new to gaming or skipped the gamecube generation (like me) will have to not only fork out AU $100 for a new game but also the $$ for another controller which would probably have me and most likely the 'non hardcore SSB fans' avoiding the game like the plague, it's just not worth it when theres other games out there that support the motion sensors and are just as good.

When the main marketing focus of the Wii is it's new controller, and games start opting for using classic controllers, the Wii will become nothing more than a console with inferior graphics, as i said before, the reason i want a Wii is for the revolutionary controller and partially for my nintendo nostalgia, but if the software won't support the new controller... then this thing isn't much different from the GC (which might i add, failed quite miserably compared to it's competition.)

Nintendo is already taking a risk with this new controller and is gambling it's future on it. It's a great technology with incredible potential but unless nintendo put's it's foot down and forces support for the new controller software maker's may start avoiding it and if that happens I can't see the Wii being anything more than a GC with a stupid name.

Wow new member you just said it!

And I think it will support the game without the nunchuck, using the motions for some things as a defense

dident read the whole thread, but how in the world could a wii controller compeat with someone using a gamecube one. The wiimote in zelda has about half a second lag for sword slashes, this means people using the wii mote will be a half second behind. Everyone knows half a second in smash brothers is a large window to get your butt smacked down.

wii remot- ssbb

either way, some people will complain. there is a slight delay for the sword in zelda, but if it was too sensitive, people would complain about their sword swinging when they dont barely move or swing the tennis racket or something.

I do like the gamecube controller better than the classic (i bought a classic and im not sure if i need it) but the advantage of the classic over the gamecube for ssbb is that the classic plugs into the wiimore, not the wii,( or maybe the wii too but i know it goes in the wiimote) so its wireless pretty much.

The Wavebird is your answer for that.

I'll probablly use a Cube controller...rather than spend money on new odd shaped Classic controllers...

That is the same thing ama do...Im used to the gamecube controller playing Super Smash Bro. Melee all the time....and its true that i rather use the Game Cube controller than buy the classic 1. :yesnod:

Well w/e, I don't care what controller we use, after all those screenshots, it's impossible to not want that game. But, if a compatible controller doesn't come with the game, that'll definetely piss me off. But hey, it's SuperSmashBros. What can you do? You can't just leave it on the shelf unbought. (BTW, I can't wait to try Pikachu's new moves)

What do you mean if a compatible controller doesn't come with it. Their not going to release it with people unable to play it.
