Snap Shot Friday #2

For those who don't believe. [strike]We salute you.[/strike] No, seriously, this is Samus' grab in Melee and hopefully it will be in Project M too.

More Pictures:

Ok, so some of you are probably don't remember Samus' Grab being this long. Well you wouldn't be wrong in that sense but you probably have not heard of Samus' Extended Grapple which was intentionally put in Melee. To get it you have to press Z, Up-Taunt, Down-Taunt, Up-Taunt, Z or something like that and your grapple will be like the picture until you die. Because it's so long, they gave it a homing ability if you press L, and you have to press A or Z to grab with it. Samus was always fun to mess around with in Melee (Super Wavedash and all). Also, it took me 3 tries to do my first Super Wavedash (in normal time without practicing in slow time).

I DONT EVEN

I've known 'bout Samus' extended tether grab for a long while, but... bloody hell. That's a tad too extended. This literally makes Samus the best at tech chasing outta every Smash game. It's as simple as a coin flip; predict a tech, or predict a miss-tech/no tech.

Is it banned from tourneys or somethin'? I don't see why what few Samus players I've seen wouldn't use it otherwise.

Now you know the power...

I don't think so but activating it does leave you vulnerable combo'ing.
From what I heard, it's not in the PAL version.

I'd imagine that havin' an unblockable move that leads into a combo situation, which is half the stage's length and has homing properties, is quite worth said risk.

yeah
but when you have combo master Fox's, one slip up could mean your death.
