Wii vs Xbox360/Kinect

I was thinking of buying a Wii, but I've had several people steer me toward an Xbox instead based on better graphics on the Xbox and their hatred of the Wii controller. What are some of the main pros and cons of each others have found?

A note:
I'm not a serious gamer. I want play some golf, baseball, maybe hockey, drive some vehicles, fly the occasional plane, and once in awhile, shoot some stuff. Maybe the occasional adventure game, too. I also tend to like the "old school" games more than the Halo or Call of Duty type games.

well judging by what you said "old school games" go with the wii since you are able to purchase "old school" games from ny old console you can think of.

wii is a great console but if yerr looking for "mature" games head over to the xbox
the wii is a family/friend console while the xbox is for the "serious gamer"

ultimately this is yerr choice so pick wise my friend

Tough decision. Kinect is more of a workout and is the hot, new thing. Wii is pretty amazing, too, though.
