I'd be surprised if shy guy wasn't an AT. Nintendo tends to have him in almost every Mario game and he's pretty easily recognizable.

Exactly, which is why I think Megaman's in. He's like a cross between Sonic and Snake: before moving onto the PSX, he was with Nintendo for the NES AND SNES, and then has been fighting (albeit not as closely as Mario and Sonic) for one of the top gaming spots (he's one of the few characters to have as many games as those two...)CyanRussel said:

First of all, that was totally random. Secondly, most of us already knew that. And lastly, I doubt Birdo is still a transvestite...seems to have made a transition to "girl" since the Super Mario 2 days.
Well, Sakurai said in the Overalls Wario update that Wario would be the only one with an alternate costume, but I could think of better alternates for Link anyways. I WOULD like to see that cap replace the Poison Mushroom (like Prince said) though...or at least make the Poison Mushroom be that purple one with the skull so you could tell the difference from far away =P
Oh, and I believe it's Ezlo not Elzo...could be wrong though...
I agree that he should be an Assist Trophy, but iono about stealing a life...maybe if he was the most rare item, but even then you'd have problems if there was a tie and either someone would be given an unfair advantage (by both players losing a life, the person/people with the fewest lives would get an advantage) or the game would freeze because it's confused...and what about if you get it when YOU have the most lives? That would suck -_-
I wonder what he WOULD do though...duplicate like in Mario Power Tennis and cover the screen kinda like the Nintendog? Or disappear and then randomly appear to attack another player like Lyn? I can't think of any ideas that haven't been used by another AT already =P

Well, that and because if you play Mario Kart DS with someone who DOESN'T have the cartridge, they're defaulted to Shy Guy...
EDIT: And Prince, I've never heard it, but I can tell you right now there's a good chance of it...since it's from one of the older MGS Games (I think 3 is old right? I need to play some MGS so I know this stuff =P) then it's likely going to be one that the Composers remaster ^_^

Ok the Birdo debate is funny but pointless. Originally on Mario Bros. 2 Birdo was a rather sexually confused enemy. He wore a bow on his head and thought he was female but in the manual he was continually called 'he'. So birdo was the first sexually confused villain ever. Now in recent games, since the topic of homosexuality, or sexuality in general is frowned upon especially in a kids game, they decided to make birdo female and prevent any sort of headache.
Secondly Sora or Rocksas (sp?) or mickey,goofy, donald, or any other thing from kingdom hearts should not be in brawl. I understand that Disney wanted to try and make a game that...didn't suck? (gasp)
So they decided to seek out square and create a storyline thats supposed to be like 'ff7 for kids' appealing to the 10 and under group. They even went so far as to hire the original celebrity voice casts for their respective Disney roles. (AKA all those Hollywood household names in the 90's who have since faded into obscurity are being paid more than well to record their 3-4 scenes each. All in hopes that boasting the origonal casts will boost sales when most of us who remember the movies they came from have moved on and matured past third grade..so they wasted their time)
Also the thing is no one ever dies in kingdom hearts i mean ohnoes goofy gets frozen in the trailer..oh well mickey can just summon his happy pink cotton candy clouds of joy and defrost him, and warm the hearts of the the evil bad guys with the love and non violence that is Disney.
KH does not belong in brawl and the fact that there is only one game from the franchise out so far for a nintendo system, a hand held no less. Yeah we know theres another coming out for DS. But that still doesn't change the fact that their only representative for the series is a non canon game for a hand held that is about 5 years old.
Megaman has been in many fighting games the marvel vs capcom series the capcom vs snk..or was in marvel vs snk? any way point being is he's been in a fighting game before so there is no reason to doubt he can do it again. He has been in almost every game system sine the NES. So there is no doubt that he has more right to be in Brawl in some fashion even if its just an AT or even a trophy from the coin launcher, he still deserves more credit than most give him.
With time running out and the release date drawing tangibly close the amounts of rumors and speculations seems to grow exponentially. I mean no one knows whats going on at this point, and we're all hoping that the majority of the content of the game has been left out of the dojo updates, otherwise the games looking kinda thin to me. We're all begging that Sakurai has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Sure there is tons of "articles" stating all sorts of things about brawl, some legit some not. We really don;t know. Every other day someone posts a new article supposedly from a Japanese gaming magazine that says there will be x amount of characters or y amount of content. But its all hearsay until we get official word,and since the dojo will be on hiatus for a few more days we're not getting anything for a few more days. So just calm down and relax. The wait is almost over, so there's no need to get so worked up over rumors since as soon as the games out,there will be none.
