Frogger
God Complex
Look, to my knowledge, Sonic has a lot of basic attacks. From the games I've played I've gathered that if he would run fast enough he would do some boom thing and whatever... Which I can't see being used in Brawl because of the stages are too small, and the amounts of objects that will hurl from the sky, not to mention probably being killed every few seconds.
I find it interesting that you felt the need to include such basic things, like punch and kick into Sonic's attacks, surely he could have a little more variety than that. Why is it that you never put these in Mario's attacks? Because, wow, he can jump on things too. There's a reason he isn't Jumpman any more, he's expanded into something better and has a much larger attack scale than Sonic.
Homing? That was Sonic Adventure, was it not? I do believe that everyone can hit a target from mid-air, that's what aerial attacks are for. I can't see how this would be useful, it can possibly be made for a double jump, and almost every character has an attack when they do this, unless they're Kirby and Jigglypuff.
Hell, Sonic's attacks were so bleak he had to tranform; Zelda does that and we never get to play as her in games.
I have Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and I have to admit it was better than just decent, that's where I grasped the controls of Sonic on a Nintendo console. They didn't feel the same as other games, of course there was an increase of speed but jumps were too airy, and this goes for everyone really. It's all too mechanical for my liking, I'd rather have the smooth Nintendo manouvre I'm used to, thank you very much.
Bounce, spin, buzzsaw, punch, kick, homing, waves, supersonic, chaoscontroll, etc.
Mario:Jump, fireball, grow, metal, tanooki, blah blah
Never changes...
