The One Character That Would've Made Brawl Perfect

I guess. Yeah, Crono would make more sense as a playable character. But if they for some reason made two playable Chrono characters, Magus should be the second one. Hes too awesome not to make an appearance somewhere in the game if Chrono does.

In order for that, they'd need some game releases for him, which is unlikely.
Pit had his 3DS release, but again, squeenix....

Magus moveset:

Im a Magus fanboy, and it would be really cool to have him as a character. I doubt Ill ever see it happen, but Im working on a moveset for fun.

Normal B: Dark Bomb - Magus points in front of him and a shadow moves quickly along the ground, from where he was standing to the nearest ledge. Holding down the B button will result in the shadow gaining distance, and when it is released, it erupts upwards in a shadowy fire. The explosion is about as tall as Magus himself. This attack does not do much damage, but has a lot of knockback. It takes Magus a short amount of time to recharge this move.

Down B: Fiery Scythe - Inspired by his fire elemental magic in Chrono Trigger. Magus plants his scythe on the ground and begins charging. The weapon immediately ignites, and the longer it charges the bigger the flames get. If you do not charge it very long, it will merely be a powerful but relatively short range slash. But if you charge it for a long time, not only will the slash get more deadly, but it will release a large burst of fire that does little knockback but lots of damage.

Up B: Lightning Slash - Inspired by his lightning magic. Its a recovery move. Tilt the control stick in the direction you want to move (Tho the angle cant be adjusted a whole lot) and Magus will shoot a lightning blot upwards, and quickly warp to the end up it while slashing. He is invincible during the split second he is teleporting. The lightning bolt has about the range of King Dededes Up B, and any characters hit by the electricity will be damaged a little bit. But if anyone is hit by the end of the lightning bolt, aka the slash, will take severe damage and knockback.

Side B: Freezing Beam - Inspired by his Ice magic. This attack has no charge up, and Magus fires a quick, long beam of ice that freezes and slightly damages anything in its path. Targets dont stay frozen for long, maybe for a second or two, but this may be enough for Magus to strike them. Takes a short amount of time to recharge after use.

Final Smash: Dark Matter - The screen turns Dark. Magus now has the ability to fire three small, black blobs of dark matter. They do nothing....yet. They seem to have some kind of homing feature, and they slowly creep towards the nearest opponent. Magus can fire as many as he wants, but there can only be three on the screen; old ones will vanish. When Magus presses Down B, or after ten seconds pass, the blobs explode in a dark matter explosion about the size of a Smart Bomb. They do a TON of damage, but dont offer much knockback.

Ummm.....what do you guys think so far? Ill work on the A attacks later. And mechanics.

Certainly a fitting moveset Nick, grand job. =D Oh, how long it's been since I've seen one'a those...

Although, severe damage for sweetspotting an Up-B is a bit too rewarding, unless the sweetspot is only horizontal/vertical, and remains for a very short time (i.e. something similar to the Cap'n's knee; not necessarily that shitty though lol).

Lemme guess for the gist of his smashes; he's going to have quite a bit of KO power (with a gigantic scythe 'n all...) to take advantage of all those high-damage B moves, no?

Good, but there is absolutely no reason for why he would ever be in-game.

You have missed this thread, and therefore are ignorant to it's grandeur purpose...

To dream. If you're going to tell everyone not to, I'll kindly ask you to piss off, and not disturb this sacred thread any further.

Thanks!

The sweatspot would be hard to pull off, kinda like Wolfs Side-B. Only moreso, since it requires the target to be at a much higher altitude.

And yes, he probably will have a lot of KO power.

You claim that this character, out of all the more relevant characters, will make Brawl perfect?

That is not the point. It is each person's individual opinion of what character they think would have made the game better than it was. This thread has gone through various changes, from people posting different variations of their favorite characters they wished were in brawl and making fantasy movesets for them. It is a discussion, and we are here to discuss. No matter how much some people may not like it, their is no absolute single character that would make anything perfect in any sense of the word. Everyone is different, and entitled to their own opinion. And it still holds true in every action of every day, that difference of opinion is the most discussed topic among the higher community. The greatest wonder of the universe? It is behaviour, not only human, but in every form of life. Kindly allow people to form their own opinions and have the courage to express them, without such freedoms the world would still believe it was flat. This thread is for discussing, not arguing, nor for putting down. If all people want to do here is Troll, then do it somewhere else, you will find this site has little love for such people whom would be better off watching paint dry rather than being the best new thing this generation has to offer to society.

Whether this is an arguement or not, it is ended. Back to discussing Brawl and movesets. No point for this to carry on. [/endrant]

Then you should see that there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking someone about their own opinion or point of view on a certain subject. That is the point of discussion. Surely even you can agree with that.

Literal title is not actually literal. Get out.

You asked Nick no questions, you merely stated that Magus could be replaced by someone better; a point that isn't morally wrong, but certainly is off topic. ¬_¬

Asking someone about why they view a character as "perfect" for brawl is in every way relevant to the topic.
