Well I just joined to join the party. :D I'm asking for a monotype, sort of scramble (I'm picking 2 you guys can pick the other four) challenge. Game: Pearl Type: Fire Pokemon (I will evolve them too): Charmander Houndour I don't care if the scramble part doesn't count, I just thought it'd be fun). PS. Can I use action replay just to get my Pokemon? I won't use it for any cheats/hacks other than that, and they'll start at level five.

Challenge accepted!

Welcome to the forums, Laxking! =) Good choice on your fire monotype for Pearl; people never really use fire types in Gen 4 unless you nab Chimchar as your starter, since Ponyta's the only other in-game.

Nope. :p When not catching your team in-game, it's gotta be eggs. I'll be happy to supply any eggs you'll need for the challenge, though.

Speaking of which, the two pokes I'll give ya for the challenge are Magmortar and Infernape (might as well make use of a starter). If you don't have Leaf Green to find wild Magby with, I can supply ya a Magby egg and Magmarizer.

Fair enough, I think the next challenge I'll go for is another monotype challenge.

I'll be playing Emerald, and beat the game with nothing but normal type pokemon. Like before, I'll take snapshots.

That's alright, I can get them I've got most of the games, I just was wondering if I could use AR to get them just cuz it's faster, not cuz I can't. Thanks!I need two more guys!

Best of luck; although after those stellar end game levels in Red, I doubt you'll need it.

Ah, alright then. Enjoy your challenge.

Quick question. When the time comes, I an evolve magmar/magby by trading to a diff. Game and back right? UPDATE: after catching some pokes to trade for my eggs, I went, traded, hatched, and now I'm grinding. Monferno lvl 16 Charmander lvl 15, Magby is still a level one :D

Ok so I haven't updated in a while time id better get to that.
At the moment i am in chargestone cave owning some plasma (which is harder than expected against plasma)

Here is my team at the moment

Yamask lvl 32
Ominous Wind
Will-O-Wisp
Hex
Curse

Spiritomb lvl 32
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Faint Attack
Sucker Punch

Sableye lvl 33
Fake Out
Fury Swipes
Faint Attack
Night Shade

So far Spiritomb has pretty much been a boos and taken on most of the gym leaders (total of 5) single handedly.
Getting my last Pokemon soon in the next area so i'm pretty pumped.

Yup, absolutely. Pokes that evolve via trade are also allowed to evolve in challenges where trading isn't allowed, i.e. the Speed challenge... Which may not be in the rules, so I better add that. >_>;

You can use trade items from the non-challenge game for trade evolutions too (the Magmarizer, in this case), since not all trade items are convenient/in the main story of all games.

That Yamask is gonna be a beast once it evolves. I almost-never use ghost types, so I'm contemplating a ghost challenge now too...

Ill get started on my challenge eventually, Im working on some other stuff in Pokemon right now.

Shedinja is a pokemon whose success depends on the chance of someone using his immunity. Last I checked, chance was the opposite of boring.

For me, not in Pokemon. There's a reason most viable competitive battlers aim to battle with the least amount of luck involved.

Shedinja's chance of failure is non-existent, too ('less you're poor at pogeymanz). If they're bringing in something that can hit it, switch it out and pummel the new poke with another team mate. If the only pokemon you're using is Shedinja, it'l be more than strong enough to never be hit before it can OHKO back since all that exp it sponges up will make it overleveled.

In my opinion, gimmick pokes are incredibly boring to play in-game.
