The real reason with the delay is to work out the kinks of the online, it wasn't quite up to par. Miyamoto said this quote " A delayed game is eventually good; a bad game is bad forever."

I think the article in question is fake and this entire thread is based on speculation. There are no more than 3 third party characters in this game. Simple as that.
If they wanted to add more third party crap they would have had to delay it even longer to get the contracts, coding, debugging, and so on..worked out.

You would have seen headlines about nintendo talking to the companies who hold the rights to these characters in question (sora,mega man,ect...) But we have seen NOTHING to indicate that there is any more work being done to add to the roster.

LIK's article is nothing but coypasta. You see all sorts of things claimed in japanese gaming magazines and a lot but much of it turns out to be bogus.

No, not neccessarily. Contracts etc would have prolly been dealt with before-hand. Just because they finally made some transactions without any leaks to the media doesn't mean this article is fake.

Nothing says it's true either, it's all speculation. But there's nothing pointing to it being false so 'tis good discussion material if nothing else.

I can't speak for Tyler, but I will say I'm not kidding. I'm more excited for the Subspace Emissary than any other feature in the game. I'm interested to see how the story plays out and why Wario attacked Kirby etc (there must be LARGE amounts of money involved...)

NOT true. When did we ever see headlines that said nintendo was talking to capcom about adding snake or nintendo talking to sega for rights to include sonic in brawl? Your reasoning does not make sense

and ime realllly excited about subspace, just too see how all the third party chars meet the other characters, like when fox met diddy, it was classic.. and i think ime most excited about the stage builder though, i cant wait too make some crazy levels

If the story mode takes up to around 10 hours to beat how exactly do you get the trophies for all of the characters? I'm sure I'll only play through it once or twice on single player maybe several with friends on co-op mode. Hmm...

you go through the story mode with switching characters, and that's how the story is done, you jsut don't play it with one character

I'm also curious on how the third-parties will meet the other characters in the Subspace Emissary, especially how Sonic meets Mario.
