Sekhmet saw the boulder being flung at him. He was puzzled with his choice, but he decided to choose to live. To survive.

Sekhmet released his power, making the lightning slowly dissapate as it was consumed by the fireball. He did it in time to channel another lightning ball and shot it at the boulder, causing it to explode with malevolent force.

However, Sekhmet was not quick enough. "Richand..." he muttered as the heaping ball of flame hustled toward him, "I will get you for this..." He used what little power he had left to toughen his skin, just barely enough to reduce the damage slightly.

The fireball crashed into him. It was far stronger than he thought. The intense heat and power of the blast carried Sekhmet across the battlefield. Silent as his skin melted, Sekhmet was clasted into the fault he made in the ground. As he fell, a lone sound was heard. "SATRA MORTA!!!!!!" he screamed, as just a moment later, a loud crashing sound was heard.

A giant explosion of green light erupted from the fault, and slowly faded. As Sekhmet's broken body laid at the bottom of the fault, there was a smirk of satisfaction stamped across his face. He had found a strong enemy.

Jacob watched as Sekhmet used his power to survive. "SATRA MORTA!!!!!!" was heard but then silence. He might have lived, he may have died. There was no way to tell.

Jacob grabbed his rod and turned to Richand and Siena. "We should get moving. If he lived through that he may come back with more soldiers. We need to get moving."

OOC: i feel like introducing my other character now. i won't cause then there would be to many things going on but i feel like he should appear soon.

ooc; can my second character come in a few days. Sekhmet can't do anything until then.

great job everyone, bodine could you space out your posts into paragraphs. They're very good, but they could be easier on the eyes.

Oric and the men arrived in camp a bit after sundown. They began to unpack and distribute the stolen supplies. They had gotten enough food to feed everyone for a week or two and managed to add a few more swords and clothing to the armory. However the mood in camp was not good. A group of men approached Oric with stern looks on their faces.

The leader of the group was Tomgan Marrance. He was an older, full bearded man who spoke wisely, "Sir Halgern, the Destry armies are advancing in Drosin and we are sitting here hiding in the woods. You said that we would fight to take back Salfir, the only fighting we have done is to steal a few wagons. Meanwhile those soldiers are ravaging our homes, eating our crop and killing more people each day."

The man was a powerful speaker, and meant what he said. Oric thought for a moment scratching his head, "I understand, but what do you suppose we do. Go to war with a few hundred men, women, and children. The majority of the people here are too old, young, or weak to fight. We would all die."

Oric paused for a few moments before speaking again, "We need more men, not to mention we need weapons, armour, and supplies. I will be taking a group up north. We will go to Conud and ask for aid. I have heard they training full divisions of riflemen. Then perhaps we can put up a decent fight. Until then, you Tomgan will be in charge of the camp."

Richand nodded weakly.
"You're absolutely right. Sorry to burden you, but I might need a little help. Using Zodiac magic makes me... very weak."
Richand tried to get up, but fell back to the ground. Siana rushed over and supported him, helping him up.

Jacob slid his rod around his back, then went over to help.

"So where to? I was planning on heading north to the next village, that is before I met you two. Where were you guys headed before this?"

"We were hoping to get supplies from the next village we came upon, and then head to Salfir. We were hoping to join the resistance against the Destry there. You could always come with us!"

"The next village is the one I'm talking about. If the elder there has no info on my power then I was going to try other leads in Conud and Salfir. I guess helping defeat Destry along the way wouldn't hurt. So, shall we go?" Jacob began to walk towards the next village, helping hold up Richand with Siana.

The day gose on and Nights past keeps comeing into mind. He thinks what happened to

his friends and how he killed them. As Night keeps walking North staying off the path keeping near the woods he sees people walking by. "more soldiers?" he said to himself. He saw that one of them had a staff, and the other ones, one female and male were walking togethere.

Night waited till they walked on by and hid behind trees to make sure he wasnt be seen. He started following them staying near the trees, and woods in case they saw him. "ill follow these guys and take them out if i need to" thought Night

Ok, the quoted text is what I posted last night, and under it is the missing 2 paragraphs and my new post.

Oric then notified the men who would be accompanying him, and prepared his things. With the new armour he took from the Destrian solider he could protect himself much better. His armour now consisted of a pair of greaves to cover his shins, plates hanging from his waist to protect his upper legs, torso armour covering down to his elbows and a pair of padded, leather gloves.

Oric also wore two swords, a short and a broad sword on his left hip, a knife in his boot, a quiver of arrows on his right hip and a bow and shield on his back. Oric mounted his white horse and rode towards the gates.

Oric waited at the gate of the ruined castle and watched as his men arrived one by one. He hand picked four men to ride with him, Joneto Hagan a long range specialist. He carried an assortment of bows and many different kinds of arrows. Next rode in Loter Rere, he was a hulk of a man almost seven feet and over 300 pounds. Chades Frober was the third man to arrive, he was a champion fencer and horseback rider before the war and last was Diter Loned. He was Oric's best friend and a scrappy fighter.

Together the men silently began to move North threw the woods in the cover of night.
